Aisensys and IRIS Centre In Healthcare
by Iris Centre • August 20, 2018 • IRIS Commentary
Over the course of 12 months, IRIS Centre has assisted several companies in the booming China healthcare sector.
As an example, with an aging population and growth in aged care through retirement homes, there has been an uptick in monitoring services. IRIS has teamed up with Starwatch, a Shenzhen based health smartwatch company, to trial its latest model, the Starwatch R03. The R03 is equipped with GPS, geofencing, microphone/speaker and an SOS function with a battery life of 7 – 10 days continuous monitoring.
Another aim of the R03 is on capturing users health related vitals such as heart rate, blood glucose, activity and sleep patterns; and linking these data to data from medical devices such as retinal imaging data.
Chronic diseases can now be analysed with participants other vitals on a continuous basis. China’s healthcare has mostly been cure focused rather than prevention focused. This is beginning to change with advances in medical technology. IRIS Centre is keen to align with other companies working on technology related wearables.
